Nicole Mater

Founder / Curator

I’m currently a designer at PCPA, where I best contribute to my team by providing parametric and algorithmic design expertise for a 1.8 million square foot office campus. I'm interested in climatic and environmental design and modeling, and I'm always looking for ways to use technology to work more efficiently and communicate more effectively.

Before joining PCPA, I worked for CO-Office, a design and spatial UX firm, as consulting Business Development Director. In the past, I also worked as a designer for HDR Architecture, researched housing and real-estate trends for The Temple Hoyne Buell Center, and assisted in teaching studio at Columbia GSAPP.

I’m enthusiastic about what I do because every day brings a fresh challenge. My varied background experiences all involve design thinking, and I’m better at my job for it.

I have an MS in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University GSAPP and an M.Arch from the University of Kansas SADP. I also hold a Certificate in Architecture for Health and Wellness, and I’m a certified LEED Green Associate.

I’m always interested in learning about opportunities to collaborate or to get involved. If you’d like to get in touch, you can reach me at nm@nicolemater.com or via the box below.
